Catherine's Gymnastics

Catherine's been taking gymnastics for a little over a year now and loves it. At the end of the school year they have an exhibition where the parents and everyone comes and the kids get to show off what they've learned and then all the girls get medals (which Catherine has made sure is taken very good care of).

This is her floor exercise.
The uneven bars, which is one of her favorite things to do.
The balance beam.
and just a cute picture of Daddy with Jonah & Megan.

Day at the Park

I was watching my friends kids one day and decided it might be fun to go to the park. My kids bug me almost every day to go. Can I tell you, it was one of the easiest times watching everyone. Somedays everyone gets a long great and some days they don't, but this day was great. I think it had something to do with new, neutral environment. Whatever it was, I'll take it and do it again.
Megan inside one of the tube slides.
Catherine just being cute. The girls kept pretending this was their bed. I should have gotten a picture of them all together, but it didn't happen.

Jonah's 2

I know these pictures are all out of order. For Jonah's birthday my mom sent him these really cool dinosaurs that he loves. As you can see, they're pretty big, and they're soft. So if they get stepped on in the middle of the night, I don't kill my feet. YEAH!!! The girls love to play with them also, but they play families where Jonah likes to attack.
He would play with his sister's airplane (which is pink) just because it's an airplane, so we got him his own little people airplane. He didn't even want cake, he just wanted to play with his toys.
Jonah opening his cars. This is on his actual birthday when it was just us.
The Saturday before his birthday we had a family dinner and just cake and presents. He loves his truck his grandmother gave him. It's one of those carrier trucks that you stack cars on. He plays forever with it.Jonah was so excited for us to sing "Happy Birthday" to him and so cute. He's been to enough birthday celebrations in the last few months he knew what was going on. Half way through the song he tried to blow out his candle and realized it wasn't time yet, so he waited until we were done singing. Then at the end, he blew out his own candle. It was so cute especially the look on his face, which we didn't get a picture of. It was one of excitement that we were all singing just for him.
This was a cute picture of him sitting with his grandpa watching Cars. He has discovered cars in general these last few months and can play a long time on his own with them, so we had the movie going and had a Cars cake.

Where's my keys?

For years now Dan has had a problem with his keys. He'd put them somewhere in the open where he could find them and (before we were married it was his mom) and then me, something would be put on top of them, like groceries, towels, whatever and he wouldn't be able to find them. Then this morning he's getting ready to leave and says, "where's my keys? I put them on the table last night with my wallet and phone and they're not there." "I didn't touch them." During this conversation, Megan decides to go upstairs. "I was the last one home and I know I put them there." "The table was cleared last night and I didn't move anything this morning for breakfast. Megan has started to hide keys. MEGAN!!!!!!" Dan's look that he doesn't believe me and still thinks it's my fault. Me yelling, "MEGAN!!!!! Come down here! Do you know where Dad's keys are." As she comes downstairs, she with a mischevious smile she says, "They're under the couch" and runs to get them, then runs back upstairs. Dan just starts to laugh as do I. "I never thought I'd have to worry about my child hiding my keys." Dan walks into the family room. "Where's my shoes? I know I left them right here." "MEGAN!!!!!"

(The little imp struck again)

More of Catherine's drawings

Catherine drew these two pictures for her little brother. I thought she did a fantastic job, especially since she's a girl and not really into the boy stuff, like cars.

Megan's dance recital

Here's pictures of Megan's recital. She loved her dance class. They danced to the song from Tarzan "Trashing the Jungle" and they were really cute. I do have to mention that I missed the dance our Bishop's counselor did at the beginning of the show that I was told was hilarious. Dan said he wished he had known it was him beforehand and he would have video taped it. I'm sure there is a tape out there somewhere.
