Our Summer trip

This is my first time blogging, but I thought I'd let my family and friends know what we're up to. We went on a great vacation in June. We first camped with my family at Calaveras State Park in California, then we stayed

in the area and went to Jamestown (where there's an old train). It's in gold country, which they say there's still lots of gold left there and people still are out prospecting. For two nights we stayed in a "haunted" bed and breakfast. We didn't know it was haunted until the first morning and we read an article in their scrapbook. We had a nice quiet stay there. From there we went to an old gold mining town, which I have forgotten the name of temporarily. It's been restored and the girls got to pan for gold. Dan and I had to take our turns also. My brother's family was nice enough to let us crowd their house for a few nights and the kids had lots of fun playing with their cousins. Last, but definately not the least, we stayed for four nights in the Kings Canyon National Park, sleeping beneath the giant Seqouia's. They were just as awesome as they were 3 years ago when we went. This picture is actually one of the smaller Sequoia's. I'll add a few more pictures when I get everything figured out. We got back safe and sound and in time to celebrate the 4th of July in Utah, lighting off fireworks and everything. A couple of things we discovered about our kids on the trip: 1) Megan gets somewhat carsick on trips and 2) Jonah gets very carsick on trips. Poor kids. We just need to remember that on winding roads.
